Week 6

â€¢ Scott Stem â€¢ Series: You Ask The Questions

The Old Testament laws were specifically given to ancient Israel, not directly to Christians. These laws can be categorized as ceremonial, ritual, and moral. With Jesus's coming, believers transitioned from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant, where we now live under 'the law of Christ' - loving God and loving others. Christians follow certain Old Testament laws only because they're repeated in the New Testament and incorporated into this law of love. Our salvation doesn't depend on following ancient regulations but on Christ's finished work, giving us freedom to focus on broad principles rather than detailed rules.
