Week 3

 • Scott Stem • Series: You Ask The Questions

Young Christians are leaving the faith at alarming rates, with research identifying six key reasons: churches appearing fearful of culture, shallow faith experiences, perceived anti-science attitudes, judgmental approaches to sexuality, struggles with Christianity's exclusive claims, and lack of space for doubts. The root issue isn't Jesus but Christians not living biblically. The solution lies in the ancient Shema teaching from Deuteronomy—integrating faith naturally into everyday life rather than compartmentalizing it. Parents and churches must make faith conversations normal, engage with doubts openly, and help young people filter culture through Scripture instead of avoiding it.
