Week 5
• Scott Stem • Series: You Ask The Questions
The tension between human free will and God's sovereignty is a profound theological mystery. While humans have genuine freedom to make independent choices based on our desires, God remains all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present. Scripture affirms both truths: we are called to choose whom we will serve, yet God knows all things and nothing happens without at least His permission. Though our finite minds cannot fully reconcile these concepts, we can understand that God exists outside of time, seeing all history at once while we experience life linearly. Rather than demanding complete understanding, we're invited to embrace this mystery, exercise our free will wisely, and trust in God's sovereign goodness.
